Displays We’ve Built: 7 Brand Projects from Our Dublin Workshop

Row of bright yellow branded countertop displays for Fulfil protein bars
Made by CWD

The best way to explain what a custom display can do is to show you. These are some of the branded displays we’ve built for food and drink brands, photographed in our workshop and in store. Each one started as a brief and a logo, and became a display that does one job: get the product noticed.

We’ve kept to what the photos show. No made-up sales figures, just the design thinking behind each one.

Key takeaways

  • Every project here is a branded wooden display built by CWD.
  • Engraving, staining, painting and printing can each give a very different feel from the same timber.
  • Shape is branding too: a surfboard, an arch or an apple cut-out says more than a flat panel.
  • Crate-style designs suit fresh, natural and snack brands. Bold painted finishes suit sports and protein brands.
Pine crate-style floor stand with engraved Eat Real logo

Eat Real: a crate-style floor stand

A tall pine stand with three crate shelves and the Eat Real logo engraved into an arched header. Natural timber and an open crate look suit a snack brand built around real ingredients. In this shot, the crates are styled with fresh tomatoes and greens beside the product, which shows how a display can tell a brand story, not just hold stock.

Batch of pine countertop units engraved with Sustainable Station

Jump Juice: a run of countertop units

A full production run of pine countertop units, each with an arched header engraved "Sustainable Station!" and compartments at the base. Making them as a batch keeps every unit identical, so the brand looks the same in every store.

Pine counter crates with engraved Savoursmiths headers

Savoursmiths: counter crates for crisps

Pine counter crates with a tall, arched header engraved with the Savoursmiths name and strapline. The crate holds bags upright at the till, and the engraved header gives a premium crisp brand a crafted, farm-shop feel.

Dark-stained produce stands with green apple-shaped cut-outs for Dole

Dole: produce stands with a twist

Dark-stained, crate-style produce stands with header panels reading "Taste first. Planet, always." and bright green apple-shaped cut-outs carrying the GO! Organic logo. The dark stain makes fresh fruit pop, while the apple outline makes the stand recognisable from across the store.

Pine crate display with the Fyffes logo and Goodness on the go

Fyffes: goodness on the go

A light pine crate unit with the Fyffes logo and "Goodness on the go" on the front and header. Simple, natural and easy to restock: exactly what a fruit display beside the till needs.

Two yellow surfboard-shaped display units for Cali Cali

Cali Cali: surfboard-shaped floor stands

Free-standing units cut in the shape of surfboards, painted bright yellow with shelves stepping up the board. The shape alone tells shoppers what the brand is about before they read a word.

Curved yellow countertop displays with many compartments for Fulfil

Fulfil: a curved counter display

A curved countertop display with rows of compartments for protein bars, painted in the brand’s yellow with printed branding on the end panels. It holds a lot of stock in a small footprint, which is what every till point needs.

What these projects have in common

  • A clear brand moment. One logo, one line, one shape.
  • The right finish for the brand. Natural pine for fresh and natural, dark stain for contrast, paint for bold brands.
  • Built for the real shop floor. Sized for counters and aisles, and easy for staff to refill.
  • Made to repeat. Built in runs, so every store gets the same display.
